Typical roles and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Deliver value-added features and fixes to our platforms
  • Collaborate with team members on solution designs
  • Working in a variety of programming languages and frameworks (including Laravel & Vuejs)
  • Improve and implement improvements to our internal processes

Working week

Monday to Friday (9 am-5 pm)

Requirements and prospects


  • Knowledge of the following: PHP, JavaScript & unit testing
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbally and written)


  • Grade 4/C GCSE or equivalent in mathematics and English is required

Personal Qualities

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team (teamwork is key at Devtropolis!)
  • Ability to work in an agile way
  • Some experience of programming and frameworks
  • High level of enthusiasm for programming and software development

Future Prospects

  • There are career progression opportunities available upon completion of the program
  • You, along with your employer, may decide to progress into a full-time Developer position with the business or progress onto a Level 4 Software Development Apprenticeship
