Wigan Borough Clinical Commissioning Group is looking to recruit 2 Finance Apprentices. Our Finance Apprentices will undertake all work-based training to achieve the Level 3 Assistant Accountant Standard.

As a Finance Apprentice you will undertake all academic and work-based training to achieve a Level 3 AAT apprenticeship standard.

During the Apprenticeship your skills will be developed in the following areas:

  • Computerised accounts systems
  • Creditor payments
  • Debt management
  • Cash management
  • Management accounting
  • You will also gain knowledge of NHS contracting

You will be based within the Finance department and will work under the direct supervision of the trust mentor/buddy and be supported by a work-based assessor from Wigan and Leigh College.

Working week

This will include a day of study leave. Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00, with a 30-minute lunch break, although this can be flexible if agreed with line management in advance.

GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) in maths and English.
