This is a great opportunity for someone starting out in the Hairdressing industry. Full training will be provided in salon and by Mode Training to work towards a Level 2 standard. All aspects of Level 2 Hairdressing will be covered.

Working week

Applicant will work over 5 days of the working week with 1 day in college. Break times will be allocated- Tuesday 9am–5:30pm Wednesday 9am–5:30pm Thursday 9am–5:30pm Friday 9am–7pm Saturday 9am–5:30pm

Requirements and prospects


The vacancy will consider applicants with little or no experience so long as they have got passion and drive for the hairdressing industry. The applicant will be prepared to learn new skills practically and in theory.


GCSE maths and English grade 4 or above is desirable but not essential.

Personal Qualities

The applicant must be well presented, good timekeeper and attender. They must be willing to work as part of a team and be flexible with working times and days. The applicant must have a keen interest to learn hairdressing and enjoy working with the public.

Future Prospects

Possibly progress to higher education to complete further study in hairdressing or teaching hairdressing. Qualifications can lead to a career working in a hair salon as a stylist, working self employed, becoming a business owner, working abroad, working behind TV and film sets and teaching new aspiring hairdressers.

Gossip is based in Oxton Village which is a desirable area with mixed age clientele. They offer a range of modern services and provide exceptional training opportunities. In the training sessions they allow the apprentice to practice different techniques for styling, cutting & colouring hair. The team are friendly and professional.
