We will ensure you are fully supported throughout your studying at College.

Whilst at work you will be supervised by experienced, qualified Accountants who will help you step-by-step in understanding what is required to progress your career as an Accountant.

Your duties will include:

  • Administration, organising files, photocopying etc.
  • Bookkeeping and assistance with preparation of management accounts 
  • Tax returns for businesses and individuals
  • VAT returns
  • Preparation and analysis of accounts for sale traders, partnerships and small limited companies
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Working in a team environment

    Not only will you work towards receiving a professional accounting qualification - you will also be earning a salary of at least national minimum wage (not apprentice wage rates)

Working week

Monday to Friday 9:00am - 17:00pm

Advance Accountancy are an established Accountancy Practice based in Southport. We have a team of 15, many of whom are part-way through achieving their Accountancy qualifications.

Growing and progressing our team is our goal and as a new apprentice, we provide hands on mentoring and workplace training alongside fully funded AAT study and exam support.

As part of the apprenticeship, the candidate will be working towards a workplace training plan within their organisation as well as working towards the apprenticeship Standard components with Runshaw Adult College. This will be work-based learning, students will be required to attend college one day a week.
