So what apprenticeships are out there this month across the Liverpool City Region? Here’s three to whet your appetite, but go to the site and take a look yourself.

Windward Health are looking for an Apprentice Retail Pharmacy Assistant at their Manor Pharmacy in Wirral. You’ll work as part of a small team in the shop area of the Pharmacy routinely serving customers with both over the counter remedies and shop items. You’ll also take prescriptions in and give out prescription medication. Cash and card handling, end of day cashing up, stock control and cleaning are also part of the role. After training, you’ll also be able to give advice regarding minor ailments and over the counter medication to customers, whilst referring to the Pharmacist appropriately. When working in the dispensary area, you will assist with preparation of prescription medications, stock control and ordering. Dealing with telephone queries and use of computer systems is also part of the role in both areas. You will complete the Retail Level 2 apprenticeship as well as two National Pharmacy association courses (Counter assistant & Medical Dispensing).

Bidfood UK are looking for two HGV driving apprentices. As part of the transport team you will be responsible for the delivery of customers’ food orders in a timely and professional manner. You’ll be completing delivery documentation and collecting cash while ensuring its security. The apprenticeship includes working through a dedicated training plan to maximize your skills and knowledge ready to progress to LGV driving.
